Norvik Port opens in May
News from home ground, Stockholm Frihamn is closing down for good, the 15 of May is the date set for the closing. As replacement Norvik Port opens south of Stockholm. The new port has several advantages:
Shorter distance to the open sea than any other port on the east coast
16.5 meters deapth at the quay, can accommodate the largest operating vessels
Has efficient intermodal transport connections to the rest of Sweden
Located five minutes from the motorway and off Stockholm rush hour
Railway connected
Several shipping lines have announced that they will call Norvik port the first week in May. If you have deliveries to locations north of Stockholm, it may be interesting to look at sea freight to Gävle and haulage from there, it could be more advantageous. Please get in touch if you have any questions.
