We just want to remind you that as of January 2020 we have new environmental requirements that the shipping lines will implement. Sulfur emissions must be heavily reduced by switching to better, but more expensive fuel types. The shipping lines have chosen to either include the cost in the sea freight or create a new fuel cost which in February is between USD 115-140 / teu. If you have any questions about this, just contact us.
Due to the current situation in China, the Chinese authorities have decided to extend the Chinese New Year celebration by one week. For the time being, most workplaces will resume work on February 10th, the Hubei Province will be closed for yet another week, until February 14th. At present, the activites in the Chinese ports are running as usual and our Chinese agents are working from home. Next week's departures will hopefully leave as planned. We will inform you as soon as we receive any news.

As usual more or less all activities in China are closed during this period. Please contact us if you have any transport in pipe line so we can check what opportunities there are.

Time for holidays: Christmas and New Year!
In 2020 new environmental requirements concerning the shipping industry will be implemented in January: IMO2020. Emissions will be reduced by 80% by changing to better, but more expensive fuel types. The costs will vary depending on vessel size, region, fuel cost and how well-prepared shipping lines are regarding environmental requirements. As more parties will switch to the approved fuel types, the total price of the sea freight is likely to increase. We will most likely see new fuel supplements as new costs as usual will hit the end customers. The shipping lines will probably end up at similar levels after some time. The price structure for January is yet to be seen.
