This will further restrict the daily operations in the port and cause further delays. We will keep you posted with new info as soon as we can.
The problems in Gothenburg Port continue, the APM Terminals are facing big delays. This is due to the extra high pressure in the port combined with a high sick-leave among the emplyees. Unfortunately, there is no possibility of hiring extra personnel due to the blockade. The situation indicates that there may occur some delays. We will inform you as soon as we have any indications of late deliveries.
We have received indications regarding May that rates will increase, but changes may occur in the next few days.
The situation in the port of Gothenburg has improved but the conflict is not resolved and we have received a notice for industrial actions on Thursday and Friday this week, which hopefully will not affect the work too much.
The freight market has been slow during the month of March and we have not seen as many price changes as we have been accustomed to in the past. The trend shows that most shipping lines reduced their rates during the past month, although with smaller amounts. This means that we have not had any large fluctuations in the rates during March.
The situation in the Port of Gothenburg has been stable even though we know that the situation can change with short notice as the conflict is not resolved.
Scanlink wish you all a Happy Easter!
