The Golden Week holiday that celebrates the Chinese National Day is soon coming up. A large part of the transport industry is closed which makes it difficult to send goods. If you have planned a transport during these dates, please contact us and we will check what opportunities are available.

The new General Data Protection Regulation, GDPR will apply from May 25th 2018 in Sweden and throughout the EU.
What is new is the emphasis on the fact that all individuals own their personal data and the new law therefore stress how companies handle address details for private persons. This means that a company must have a legal basis (e.g. an agreement), to handle an individual's personal data in the company's registers. A person has the right to have his or her information deleted with some exceptions such as regulations regarding how accounting and customs data is handled.
It is most important to Scanlink AB that all our customers are aware and confident about how any personal information is processed by us and how we ensure data protection for personal data when we deliver our transportation and logistics services to you.
Personal data can be used in our daily customer service / operations and in connection with transport documentation / invoicing / customs handling and is required in order for us to able to fulfill our agreement with you.
Scanlinks' handling and processing of personal data will be in accordance with the new GDPR. Welcome to contact us if you have any questions about our work regarding these issues.
The celebration of the Chinese New Year begins! China has closed down because everyone is going home to meet relatives and friends, celebrating the Dog's year with fireworks. This holiday is celebrated in several countries around Asia so we will have a quiet period before everyone returns to work around February 21st.
We would like to mention the possibility of sending goods by train from China. The transit time is approximately 20 days to Sweden. Give us a call and we'll tell you more.

Shipping lines introduce a new cost, Fairway Due, which applies from January 1st. It seems as the shipping lines have agreed on approx. SEK 100 / teu. This is a local cost and is charged to Swedish customers for both CFR / FOB shipments.
For those who have LCL shipments, an Entry Fee will be added at the port of Gothenburg due to a new handling routine of empty containers. The inspection is now done in a special area, which means an additional stop for each delivered container. The cost is approx. SEK 10 / W / M.
We also like to remind you of the Chinese New Year which this year is between February 15th and 21st and as usual, China i closed during this periode.
